Scientific lead: Dr. Dominik Schlarb (basic course) and Dr. Dr. Christina Irene Günter (advanced course). For each chapter there is a summary and an AI learning assistant based on the course notes.
Online, you learn what must be firmly in place before the first injection: the anatomy of the muscles of facial expression, the mechanism of action, the differences between the preparations, reconstitution and dosage, contraindications and patient information. You see the treatment itself on video – as close up as is rarely possible in a course room, and as often as you like.
What an online course does not replace is your own hand: injection depth, dosing at the muscle and dealing with the patient require practice under supervision. That is what the Botox course in Düsseldorf is for, as a hands-on workshop. Those who have worked through the theory online beforehand use the day on site for practice.
An overview of all building blocks – online and on site – can be found under Botox course for doctors, and the entire learning path in the guide Learning aesthetic medicine.
The basic course costs €149 and the advanced course €179, in each case including VAT and as a one-off payment with permanent access. You can watch the trailer free of charge on the respective course page. What in-person courses cost and what determines the price is set out in the guide What does a Botox course for doctors cost?.
The theory, yes; injecting, no. Online, you work through anatomy, preparations, dosage and injection points and see the treatment on video. You then practise your own injections under supervision in the hands-on workshop.
On every course page there is a free trailer with which you can take a look inside the course before buying. The full course is subject to a charge.
The training courses are aimed exclusively at licensed physicians. The basic course does not require any prior knowledge; the advanced course requires initial treatment experience.
Permanently. You pay once and can call up all chapters, videos and the course notes again at any time via your MEDEMIE account.
The two online courses on botulinum toxin are currently not CME-certified; on completion you receive a MEDEMIE certificate of participation.
“Botox” is the trade name of one particular product and is used colloquially for botulinum toxin type A. Our training courses are product-neutral and cover the active substance and the various products.
Practice: in the hands-on workshop in Düsseldorf you treat a model under supervision. Afterwards you can discuss cases and questions in the physicians' community.
