The range is wide: an online course costs a fraction of a hands-on day, and in-person courses also differ considerably. This guide shows what the courses at MEDEMIE cost, what the price of an injection course depends on and which expenses you will face in addition to the course fee.
| Format | What you get | Price at MEDEMIE |
|---|---|---|
| Online course | 10 chapters with video, course script, learning assessment; permanent access | 149 € (Basic course), 179 € (Advanced course) |
| Hands-on workshop, one day | Theory, facial analysis, treatment plan and treatment on a model in a small group | most recently €1,150 (Botox course in Düsseldorf, June 2025) |
| Foundation course, one day | Botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid in one day | most recently €1,700 (foundation course, June 2025) |
All prices include VAT. The fee for upcoming workshop dates is stated in the respective course announcement.
| Factor | Why it determines the price |
|---|---|
| Supervision ratio | The fewer participants there are per supervisor, the more you inject yourself – and the higher the cost per place. |
| Products and materials | Botulinum toxin and consumables for the practical part are a major cost item. Ask whether they are included in the price. |
| Models | Models that are provided and have been informed by a physician mean organisation and responsibility. Some courses expect you to bring your own model. |
| Duration and scope | Half a day with one indication is not comparable with a full day and several areas. |
| Course materials and follow-up support | A script, templates for patient information and documentation, or a contact person after the course differ in value – and are rarely a matter of course. |
| Funding | If a manufacturer supports the course, the fee may be lower. In that case, it should be disclosed who is funding the course and which products are covered. |
For in-person courses, travel and, where applicable, an overnight stay are added to the course fee. Those who work through the theory online beforehand need less time for it on site and get more out of the practical part.
The expenses for getting started in your own practice are usually greater than the course fee: products and consumables, emergency equipment, patient information and documentation materials, and professional liability insurance that expressly includes aesthetic treatments. What should be clarified before the first treatment is set out in the guide Learning aesthetic medicine.
Professionally motivated training costs can generally be claimed for tax purposes, usually including travel costs. Whether and how this applies in your case is something your tax adviser can clarify.
Free offers exist as trailers, webinars or manufacturer-funded training. They are suitable for getting to know a topic and a provider. They do not replace complete training, and manufacturer-funded formats naturally deal above all with the manufacturer's own products.
With in-person courses, the price alone says little. What you do for it is more informative: how many areas do you treat yourself, how many participants share one supervisor, and are products and models included? The ten most important criteria are summarised in the checklist for injection courses.
A proven way to keep costs under control: first the theory in the online course, then a hands-on day. That way you use the more expensive in-person time for what is only possible there.
At MEDEMIE, the online basic course costs €149 and the advanced course €179. The one-day hands-on workshop in Düsseldorf most recently cost €1,150 including VAT (June 2025).
Products and consumables for the practical part, supervision while you inject yourself, and materials for later reference. Also clarify whether models are provided and whether VAT is included in the price.
Trailers, individual webinars and manufacturer-funded training are generally free of charge. At MEDEMIE, you can watch a free trailer on every course page; the full course is subject to a charge.

There is no fixed number. What makes sense is the theory in a course and at least one practical part under supervision; after that, you start with a few manageable indications and expand step by step.
Because the cost per place is different: small groups, supervision by physicians during injection, products, materials, models and rooms. An online course is produced once and can be used by many.
