The fundamentals course introduces licensed physicians in one day to the two most important procedures in aesthetic medicine: botulinum toxin type A and hyaluronic acid fillers. Theory and anatomy in the morning, demonstration and hands-on practice on the model under supervision in the afternoon.
Basic principles of aesthetic treatments and analysis of the ageing face
Botulinum toxin type A: mechanism of action, indications, contraindications
Anatomy and injection points: forehead, glabella, lateral canthal lines, masseter
Dosage, dilution and storage
Hyaluronic acid fillers: properties, differences, indications
Injection zones: lips, nasolabial fold, marionette lines, chin, cheeks
Recognising and treating adverse effects; patient information, consent, documentation
Practical part: facial analysis, treatment plan and hands-on practice on the model
The day begins with the foundation: basic principles of aesthetic treatments, analysis of the ageing face and the question of how patients' expectations can be reconciled with realistic results. This is followed by the two theory blocks on botulinum toxin type A and on hyaluronic acid – each covering anatomy, indications, technique and how to deal with undesired results.
In the practical part the course lead demonstrates the treatment on live models. You then work yourself under supervision: individual facial analysis, treatment planning and injection techniques for both procedures. The day concludes with a knowledge test, a practical assessment and a Q&A session.
The course is suitable for getting started. Those who wish to go deeper afterwards will find dedicated course days for each procedure: the Botox course in Düsseldorf and the hyaluronic acid course in Düsseldorf.

The fundamentals of both procedures, yes – mode of action, anatomy, the classic indications and your first own injections under supervision. Routine then comes with practice; for this there are dedicated course days for each procedure and the case discussions in the community.
